I’m Sara Levin, MS

She/Her/Hers

Liscensed Marriage & Family Therapist #: 158991

I'm a biracial marriage and family therapist based in Los Angeles, working with clients across the neurodivergent spectrum, LGBTQIA+ communities, and families navigating intergenerational tension, eating disorders, and high-conflict dynamics. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping people build emotional regulation and expand their communication skills—whether you're expressive, quiet, nonlinear, or something else entirely.

I incorporate sensory processing tools, movement, and creative expression where it helps, and I stay informed on evolving best practices without losing sight of what actually works for real people. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to tone yourself down—if you're a little weird, intense, quiet, big-feeling, or just figuring it out, you're in the right place.

Let's book a call.

Let’s keep it simple.

My Rate & Accessibility

My standard session fee is $200. This rate supports the ongoing care of my work, including maintaining licensing, a calming office space for clients, and continued education.

Reduced Fee Availability

I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots using the Green Bottle Method, which centers equity and accessibility. This approach acknowledges that resources are not distributed equally and aims to make therapy more sustainable and inclusive for all.

There’s no pressure, no perfect timeline.

Whether you're ready for a single conversation or ongoing support, a virtual session or a quiet, grounding office space — therapy moves at your pace.

How I Support

Play Therapy

Rooted in the child-led DIR Floortime Model, play therapy is available for all ages and may involve art, imagination, and sensory-based play to support emotional development.

Talk Therapy

This is the most familiar form of therapy—neuroaffirming and client-centered, offering a supportive space to explore thoughts, feelings, and challenges.

Brainspotting

A gentle but powerful technique that uses eye positioning to access and release stored trauma or emotional tension, helping the brain and body process what words sometimes can’t.

Questions, answered.

  • I don’t bill insurance directly, but I do offer a limited number of reduced fee spots—just reach out to see what’s available. Many clients use a superbill (see below) to request reimbursement from their insurance provider.

  • A superbill is basically a fancy receipt. After your session, I can send you a detailed document to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

  • I hold a limited number of reduced-fee spots for clients who need financial flexibility. My sliding scale follows the Green Bottle Method, which is rooted in equity and collective care. This approach recognizes that financial resources and access are not evenly distributed, and aims to make therapy more accessible while still honoring the value of the work. If cost is a concern, you are warmly invited to reach out so we can find a rate that feels sustainable for you and supports access for others as well.

  • I specialize in marriage & family therapy, early intervention for young kids, support for neurodivergent clients, and eating disorder recovery. If your life feels like it’s circling the drain or stuck in a loop, that’s usually where I come in.

  • We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’re hoping for, and anything you want me to know. No pressure to dive deep right away—this is your pace, your space.

  • Brainspotting is a therapy technique that helps process stuck emotions by using eye position to access deeper parts of the brain. It sounds weird until it works—many people find it helps move things that talk therapy alone can’t always reach.

  • I fence (yes, with swords) with my fiancé, bake things I immediately give away, and hang out with my dog—who's basically my emotional support coworker.

Good Faith Estimates

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
